2020 Oregon Transit

About the Journey
Through our partnership with YouthWorks, this Transit team of parents and students will head to Portland, Oregon. Located in the Northwest, a short distance from snow-capped Mount Hood, Portland is the largest city in Oregon. The city is known for its natural beauty and eco-friendly culture.
This trip offers opportunity to come alongside local organizations and service partners to address issues Portlanders face, including struggles of homelessness, gentrification, historic and current racism, and concern over environmental issues.
Your team will aid existing social service organizations in helping the most vulnerable populations of the city.
In the evenings, you will experience an outdoor adventure at Multnomah Falls, explore downtown Portland and help host a community cookout. On Thursday evenings, you’ll serve 300-400 guests from the homeless community at Night Strike. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2018.
For both parents and students, this is a highly rewarding experience that encourages leadership and spiritual growth. If you’re interested in taking this journey, apply now!
Please only apply for ONE student trip at a time.
Price listed is per person.
New for 2020!
You're busy enough so we're taking some things off your to-do list! We've reduced the number of forms you need to complete by adding a few questions to the global(x) application. Students, if you're under the age of 18 and will be at the time of travel, you'll need a parent present to help you complete this part of the application.
global(x) is a part of North Point Ministries. global(x) provides meaningful journeys for teams to serve at-risk people in communities around the world. We want to help combine faith and service to help make life better for those in need.
