2020 California Transit
About the Journey
Through our partnership with YouthWorks, this Transit team of parents and students will head to San Diego, California. Located on the Pacific Ocean coast, San Diego is the second largest city in California. The city is famous for its amazing weather and miles of beautiful white-sand beaches.
This trip offers a variety of different social service opportunities through our partner. These include serving the elderly, the homeless and hungry, and examining issues of living near the US-Mexico border. You’ll also be able to experience the Latino culture of San Diego, and one evening, you’ll walk to the Mexican border. Here you’ll learn about the history of the border from an organization that works to provide justice for immigrants. In addition, you’ll attend a bilingual church service and enjoy a cookout with community friends. YouthWorks has partnered with this community since 2007.
For both parents and students, this is a highly rewarding experience that encourages leadership and spiritual growth. If you’re interested in taking this journey, apply now!
Please apply for ONE student trip at a time.
Price listed is per person.
New for 2020!
You're busy enough so we're taking some things off your to-do list! We've reduced the number of forms you need to complete by adding a few questions to the global(x) application. Students, if you're under the age of 18 and will be at the time of travel, you'll need a parent to help you complete this part of the application.
global(x) is a part of North Point Ministries. global(x) provides meaningful journeys for teams to serve at-risk people in communities around the world. We want to help combine faith and service to help make life better for those in need.
