HOI, Inc. is a nondenominational, nonprofit Christian organization headquartered in Tucker, Georgia. One of their bases of operation, San Lorenzo, is in the Department of Choluteca in southern Honduras. At this location, HOI focuses on three program areas: medical, community development, and short-term missions. Depending on the projects determined by the village where you will serve, your team may do one or more of the following: mix cement to provide floors and latrines for families; build chimneys, roofs and/or room additions; serve a family by helping plant a family garden; and conduct Bible studies for children or adults. To celebrate projects completed by your team and community members, you may end your time with a party in the village.

This is our first team meeting. We will spend time doing lots of great activities. Some of these include:

I know this is Super Bowl Sunday!!! :) We will meet for a couple of hours. You should be done in plenty of time to watch the Super Bowl.

City Barbeque will give us 25% of the sales of food that night (IF people tell them that they are there to support our mission trip). In order for this to be beneficial - it is critical that you ADVERTISE this ALOT. Those that advertise this will get a portion of the proceeds from the evening. In order to qualify for a portion of the proceeds, you will need to text a photograph of your advertisement to Melanie and Tori. We can not advertise/solicit from the restaurant - but this will be a fun time for us to have dinner together.

Ways to advertise:
- Social Media
-Have your parents and friends share it on social media
-Print out fliers and place in all of the teachers' mailboxes at your school
-Print fliers and pass them out at your school
-Write details on poster board and advertise at school
-Share with any friends/teammates from any clubs you participate with (e.g., basketball, drama, debate)
-Share with your small group at Inside Out
-Send an email to the parents if you volunteer at UpStreet or Transit
-Share on your neighborhoods' HOA website.

Tickets are $15, and with tax/fees, the cost is about $20 per ticket. When someone purchases a ticket at the above website, they will be prompted to enter a promo code. The promo code is: NORTHPOINT. Then there will be a small team of people at the doors into the Infinite Energy arena asking which team each individual wants to donate to, and a tally will be taken. So we will get $10 from each person that selects our team.

Team Retreat Required

Meet at Mel's home (6685 Bransford Dr, Cumming 30040) so that we can carpool. If needed, you can leave your car at our clubhouse. We will meet between 3:30-4 & DEPART at 4:30 PROMPTLY.

We are going to have so much fun: talking, bonding, planning, praying, eating, snacking, and resting.

**How to get there: We have rented a large passenger van (15 people). Melanie will also drive her SUV. Meet at Melanie and Iggy's home so we can ride up together.

**Exact location will be provided to parents. (I'll send an email out with the address on the day of the retreat). We want this to be a surprise for our team.

**What to bring: One SMALL bag or back pack per person. You will only need a couple some 2 shirts/pants/shorts (depending on weather), appropriate pjs, shoes, towel/washcloth, shampoo/soap, bug spray, sunblock if needed. Also please bring your Bible and a pen.

** Meals will be provided Friday night, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning.

**There is NO cell service - except Verizon - at our retreat location. We will send out one phone number to be used in case of emergencies.

1) Your devotional - so everyone (including Kelly) can sign yours.
2) A large suitcase for the team (IF you said you had one we could use)
3) Your sunscreen and insect repellent in sealed, LABELED ziploc bag
4) Your snacks in a sealed, LABELED ziploc bag(s)
5) Any liquids/toiletries that you will not be able to place in your carry-on bag.

Lets plan to meet at the international airport in front of Delta. (near the ticketing/boarding passes area) We will check-in and go through security as a group. It is important that you be ON TIME (so the group has adequate time to get through security). We can grab a coffee once we get through the security gates. You may want to bring some $$ for things like that airport (coffee).
