2019 El Salvador Back to School
Since La Casa de mi Padre opened in 2002, it has provided 35 children with a loving and safe environment. La Casa seeks to share the love of Christ with children in practical and tangible ways. Due to the children's difficult pasts, their hearts are full of emotional scars, although wounds are often hidden. As people share Christ's love, healing, and hope with the children and their families, restoration is happening. Through La Casa and the local church, our team will have the opportunity to serve these children and their families by connecting and playing with the children during their final week of "summer" before they head back to school. In addition, the team will prepare school supplies for the coming year. This includes covering the students' notebooks and workbooks with plastic, organizing backpacks, shopping for supplies, organizing uniforms and shoes, and helping with other back-to-school needs.
We're looking for 20 adults who enjoy working with children.
