Setting up for an amazing Week - Lighthouse Spring Break Setup Journey

I have had the pleasure and honor to be a part of this new journey since it started 3 years ago. This is a perfect opportunity for fine young men who are thinking of trying a mission trip for the first time. But it is also a wonderful trip for experienced mission goers who don't have much time for a trip. It's some of the hardest work I love doing. Building the tents and setting up the venues for Lighthouse Family Retreats Spring Break retreats is very fast paced, but also very rewarding once you see what impact the retreats have on the families experiencing childhood cancer. The love and care that LFR gives these families during the week is unbelievable. The families have a week of rest and relaxation they may not have had in years.
LFR needs the help setting up the locations since most of their volunteer help during Spring Break week are high school and college students, who can't get there until just before the retreat families arrive. And, since this is the first retreat of the year, our focus is to help LFR check out all the equipment for proper operation and to set up and prepare the locations as much as possible for the volunteers before they arrive.
