After a couple long days of travel, we have officially arrived at Rancho El Paraisio in Honduras! The trip started at the Atlanta Airport early Saturday morning for a 3 hour flight to Honduras. After arriving in Honduras, we met the first of many of the friendly faces of HOI, Carlos, and got ready for the first half of our trek to the ranch. A five hour bus ride later called for our dinner stop, small group devotional...and a little pool time before heading to bed. Refreshing for body and sprit. :)
For those who didn't get quite enough sleep, there was another chance to rest on the bus this morning. We still had another five hour ride. The ride passed without issue and we made it to the ranch just before lunch. Words won't suffice to describe the beauty of the Honduran countryside and Rancho El Paraisio. Carlos gave us a tour of the grounds and filled us in on all to expect in the upcoming days in the village of La Venta. Let's just say we have a lot of work ahead of us, but joyful and excited sprits in each of these students and leaders. We'll sign off this update now as we do some final preparation for tomorrow, have our small group devotional time, and team bonding. Tina, I am so glad you made it safe and sound to Rancho El Paraisio. That pool does look very cool and relaxing, especially after such a long trip. May God be with you all while you are there in the village of La Venta. Your dad and I love you very much!!
