About the Journey

Get ready to engage with, teach, and have fun with students at the Blas Pascal School on this journey to serve with our partner Sowing a Vision in southeastern Mexico’s largest city, Mérida. 

Sowing a Vision serves churches and other Christian organizations in Mérida by helping them with both construction projects and community outreach. This journey team will focus on outreach and serve together in a nearby local school.  

You’ll encourage and work alongside one of our long-term missionaries—on tasks like:

• Teaching English to Spanish speaking students at English camp

• Hosting Vacation Bible School

• Playing games and sports, singing, dancing, and helping with arts and crafts.

• Meeting local families and learning about everyday life in Mérida.

The goal of this journey is relational investment in the people you’ll meet. Through the English lessons you teach and the Vacation Bible School you host, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with local children and families. Our mission is to share God’s love with them all.

This journey is a great fit for single adults who…

• Have a heart for long-term missionaries.

• Enjoy being a little silly, playing with kids and leading games.

• Speak Spanish or have teaching experience or skills, although not required.

• Want to contribute to the school’s education program and connect relationally with new friends.

Before You Apply

• A $150 nonrefundable application fee is due at the time of application and will be applied to each person’s fundraising goal.
