2026 Guatemala - Medical

About the Journey

Get ready to fall in love with the landscape, culture, and people of Guatemala as you serve alongside our partner 410 Bridge in this beautiful Latin American country. 

The 410 Bridge in-country team has been working to grow and deepen ties in the local community. This journey team will have the chance to further that mission as we:

• Address the basic medical needs of the community.
• Provide a combination of treatment and health education.
• Build relationships with local families through home visits and prayer walks.
• Share the gospel and attend a Sunday church service.

Team members will use their skills to provide pop-up medical clinics and leverage opportunities to train and educate community members and local healthcare providers. The primary goal of this journey is, of course, medical care, but also the relational investment in the children and families you’ll meet. As you care for community members and take time to visit their homes and churches, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know them, their culture, and the rhythms of their everyday lives. You’ll find great joy in sharing the love of Christ with people by meeting their medical needs!

This journey is a great fit for adults who…

• Have a background in medicine (e.g. doctors, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and EMTs).
• Are up for adventure and excited to learn about a new culture. 
• Would like to travel far from home and are physically able to handle long days in transit.
• Can navigate the rural conditions that may be experienced in a foreign country.
• Understand relational investment as a valuable act of service.

Before You Apply

• A nonrefundable application fee of $150 per person is due at the time of application and will be applied toward each person's fundraising goal.
• Seat selection or upgrades on flights are OPTIONAL. Some airlines may not assign seats until 7 days before departure; participants who wish to secure a preferred seat in advance may do so at their own expense.
