About the Journey

Get ready for an unforgettable, inspiring (and we’ll admit, joyfully exhausting) weekend of offering extravagant acts of service to families affected by childhood cancer. 

Through our partnership with Lighthouse Family Retreat, this journey team will serve families who have been invited to spend a long weekend at the beach on St. Simons Island resting, reconnecting, and relaxing away from the chaos of childhood cancer. 

You and your other family member(s) will be paired with a Retreat Family. You’ll serve by doing things like:

• Serving meals and cleaning up with joy.
• Leading fun and meaningful activities for children.
• Offering presence and empathy to families who feel alone in their journey.

While the tasks you help with will contribute to a restful weekend for the Retreat Families, the goal of this journey is relational investment in the children and families you’ll meet. The weight of childhood cancer impacts everyone in a family. You have the opportunity to ease that burden as you create a magical few days for them to have fun, reconnect with one another, experience joy, laughter, and kindness, and find hope in God.

Before You Apply

• A nonrefundable application fee of $150 per person is due at the time of application and will be applied toward each person's fundraising goal.
• The cost listed is PER PERSON.
• Minors will need a parent or guardian to help complete the Releases section of the application.
• A SEPARATE application is required for EACH family member who would like to participate.
