2026 El Salvador - Family 1
About the Journey
Be part of the meaningful work of restoring and reunifying families in El Salvador as you connect, play, and have fun with the children living in La Casa de mi Padre.
With three family homes on their La Finca farm just outside San Salvador and a transition home in town, La Casa works to create a Christ-centered family environment of love and acceptance for children who are separated from their biological families.
While serving with La Casa, this journey team will participate in activities like:
- Painting, landscaping, and cleaning around the La Finca property.
- Connecting with La Casa’s foster families and playing games with the children.
- Hiking to nearby rural communities to deliver meals and other supplies.
While the projects you contribute to will help the community, the goal of this journey is relational investment in the children and foster families you’ll meet. El Salvador is a beautiful land of volcanoes, waterfalls, and black sand beaches. Yet as the most densely populated country in Central America, cycles of broken families and extreme poverty are difficult to escape. Our mission is to support and encourage the local leaders who are caring for the country’s most vulnerable children.
This journey is a great fit for…
- Families who want to serve together (and everyone is at least 10 years old).
- Anyone with a heart for children and a sense of adventure.
- Adults and families who are physically able to complete semi-strenuous hikes.
- Those who understand relational investment as a valuable act of service.
If this is you or your family, then get ready to sing, play, and connect with dozens of new friends during your week in El Salvador.
