2025 El Salvador - Back to School

About the Journey

Through our partnership with La Casa de mi Padre, this global(x) team will head to El Salvador. Located just north of the equator in Central America, it’s the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America. Sadly, despite its beautiful landscape and hospitable people, it’s also overwhelmed by poverty and broken families.  

In El Salvador, January is the beginning of a new school year. La Casa de mi Padre hosts a back-to-school drive each year that provides children in the community with school supplies and helps prepare them for a successful year of learning.

The back-to-school team will provide items like book bags, pencils, pens, notebooks, and folders for each child in La Casa. They’ll help the children prepare for school by working with them to organize their supplies, cover their books, and label folders. The team will also have the opportunity to engage in some quality downtime with the children as they work on arts and crafts projects, play games, and share meals together.
