About the Journey

Mérida is the Yucatan capital, known for its incredible food and widely recognized as the safest city in Mexico. It’s experienced economic growth, but the disparity between the rich and the poor is still dramatic. That’s where our partner Sowing a Vision comes in. They serve churches, Christian institutions, and communities in need.

We’re looking for a high-energy team of adults who are excited to work alongside the local Mérida community on at least one large construction project. You might help build roofs, floors, or courts or paint auditoriums and multipurpose rooms. Lifting beams and cement blocks, preparing cement mix, and carrying heavy buckets is strenuous work, but the end result and the difference it makes in a community is remarkable. 

The global(x) team will also have the opportunity to host Vacation Bible School, play games, teach some arts and crafts classes, sing songs, and have fun with the kids. You might even meet one of our long term missionaries while you’re there!
