2024 Guatemala - Dental

About the Journey

Bring your expert dental skills and experience along on this journey to serve the children and families of a coffee-farming community in Guatemala. 

Through our partnership with 410 Bridge, this journey team will serve the local community through activities like:

• Addressing basic dental needs
• Providing a combination of treatment and oral hygiene education
• Visiting homes and learning about everyday life in a coffee-farming community.
• Participating in a coffee-brewing ceremony.

Team members will use their skills to provide a pop-up dental clinic and leverage opportunities to train and educate community members and local healthcare providers on oral hygiene.

The primary goal of this journey is, of course, dental care, but also the relational investment in the children and families you’ll meet. Amid the scenic landscapes, a majority of Guatemalans live in poverty, and the country suffers from one of the highest income inequality rates in the world. Local leaders are doing their part to address these issues, and our mission is to encourage them along the way.
