2024 El Salvador - Christmas

About the Journey
 

Bring festivity and joy to a community in El Salvador as you help La Casa de mi Padre host two Christmas celebrations. 

La Casa de mi Padre has three family homes on their La Finca property just outside San Salvador, where they work to create a Christ-centered family environment of love and acceptance for children who are separated from their biological families. 

Each year, La Casa hosts one Christmas celebration for their foster families and staff and another for the surrounding community of more than 700 neighbors. The Christmas carnival is a highlight of the year for the children and families who attend! 

While in El Salvador, this journey team will help prepare for and host the celebrations by:

• Wrapping gifts and packing goodie bags for the children
• Leading holiday craft-making and game stations
• Supervising carnival rides
• Serving food and refreshments

There will be plenty of practical tasks to assist with, but the goal of this journey is relational investment in the children and foster families you’ll meet. Hosting the Christmas celebrations will give you opportunities to experience joy and fun alongside children you’ll remember long after you head home.
