2020 Gwinnett Church InsideOut

May 30 2020 - Jun 27 2020

About the Journeys
Honduras (Agalta Valley)  |  May 30-June 6, 2020  |  $2,350

Through our partnership with HOI, this student team will head to Honduras, the second largest country in Central America. Your team will work with HOI to meet the needs of the local community. Generally, teams take on construction projects that help with the improvement of health and sanitation within family homes. They usually include laying cement floors, making wash basins and building latrines, but don’t worry. You don’t need any prior construction experience. The team will also coordinate some interactive relational activities for the local school children and host a Vacation Bible School camp. You’ll play games, tell stories, sing songs, and just have fun.

Mexico (Merida)  |  June 6-13, 2020  |  $1,950

Alongside Shalom Church, this student team will serve in Mérida, Mexico. It’s considered one of the safest cities in Mexico. In recent years, Mérida has experienced economic growth, but the disparity between the rich and the poor is still dramatic. Shalom Church is committed to meeting the needs of the local community through construction, kids’ camps, and much more. This student team will be working with local church men on at least one large construction project, such as a church or community building. It’s a very physically active trip. Relationally, the team will also have the opportunity to host Vacation Bible School for local children, play games, do some arts and crafts, sing some songs, and have fun with the kids.

Kenya  |  June 18-27, 2020  |  $3,600

Through our partnership with 410 Bridge, this student team will head to Kenya. The InsideOut team will work alongside the 410 Bridge staff and the community’s local Leadership Council. The Leadership Council consists of pastors and other respected leaders who are well versed in the needs of their community. The team will also lead and participate in lessons and discussions with Kenyan students about topics like education, social issues, and social pressures. They’ll encourage one another to be leaders and influencers in their community for Christ and learn from one another and gain new perspectives. Finally, before the visit is complete, the team will head out on an African safari to experience the beauty of the natural wildlife!

A visa is REQUIRED for entry to Kenya, and is the responsibility of the team member.

New for 2020!

You're busy enough, so we're taking some things off your to-do list! We've reduced the number of forms you need to complete, simply by adding a few questions to the global(x) application. Students, if you are under the age of 18 and will be at the time of travel, you will need a parent present to help you complete this part of the application. Lastly, paper copies of your passport are no longer needed, just upload it in your application or to your ServiceReef profile, and you're done!
