2020 Costa Rica Transit 4
About the Journey
Through our partnership with Openhouse, this student team will head to Costa Rica. The Central American country is known for its biodiversity, beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and hot springs. In many aspects, Costa Rica is a success story in terms of development. It is considered an upper-middle-income country, and its steady economic growth has helped it report the lowest poverty rates in Latin America.
You’ll fly from Atlanta to San Jose, Costa Rica. From your hotel, it’s about a 30-minute commute to the community in Pavas outside of San Jose, where you’ll be spending the majority of your time.
The team will be working on school and community improvement projects like painting, renovation, planting, cleaning, and organizing. You’ll have the opportunity to spend time with the school children and their teachers as you and your team lead fun activities like arts and crafts, sing-a-longs, and interactive games.
Seeing the struggles and sharing the love of Jesus with the Costa Rican people is a humbling experience and one that you won’t soon forget. If you’re interested in taking this journey, apply now. Please only apply for ONE student trip at a time.
Price listed is per person.
New for 2020!
You're busy enough, so we're taking some things off your to-do list! We've reduced the number of forms you need to complete, simply by adding a few questions to the global(x) application. Students, if you are under the age of 18 and will be at the time of travel, you will need a parent present to help you complete this part of the application. Lastly, paper copies of your passport are not needed, just upload it in your application or to your ServiceReef profile, and you're done!
