About the Journeys

Mexico (Monterrey)  |  May 29 - June 4, 2020  |  $2,000

Through our partnership with Back2Back Ministries, this student team will help love and care for orphans and vulnerable children. You’ll work to meet the children’s spiritual, physical, educational, emotional, and social needs so that they might overcome the cycle of generational poverty.

This student team will help with a mix of projects to improve the physical living conditions in local children’s homes and maybe even in a local family’s home. You’ll also spend time playing with the children and possibly have the opportunity to take them on a field trip for some extra fun!

Costa Rica 1  |  June 6-13, 2020  |  $2,575

Through our partnership with Openhouse, this team will serve a local school in an impoverished community. You’ll work on improvement projects like painting, renovating, planting, cleaning, and organizing. You’ll also have the opportunity to spend time with the school children and their teachers as the team leads fun activities like arts and crafts, sing-a-longs, and interactive games. Teams typically visit a local farmer’s market and attend Sunday services at Openhouse Church.

Colorado  |  June 7-12, 2020  |  $1,400

Through our partnership with YouthWorks, this student team will hear from local residents about what it’s like to live in and serve the people of Denver. You’ll learn about poverty and homelessness through interactive activities. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet a local pastor who brings “Sidewalk Sunday School” into under-resourced neighborhoods, giving kids a safe place to learn about the love of Christ. Teams will spend all or part of the week at a local food pantry, soup kitchen, elder care facility, or help with children’s programs. You’ll worship while surrounded by majestic mountain views and enjoy planning a community cookout.
