I am excited about our upcoming trip to El Salvador with students from North Point Community Church – Inside Out. I have been engaging with teenagers actively since 2005 as a volunteer in student ministry as well as a high school teacher. I love working with teenagers and I am excited about what God has in store for these young people as we venture into a foreign culture. I am excited to see how they connect with each other as a team, how they connect with the children in El Salvador, and how they connect with their Heavenly Father through this experience. I went on my first mission outside the country when I was 14 years old and it changed my life. I am so grateful to have shared that experience with my mom and Dr. Dean Simpson. I am hopeful for each of these young people that this trip to El Salvador can have a similar impact on their relationship with Jesus. The purpose of our trip to El Salvador this summer is to serve the children at La Casa de mi Padre, one of our global partners. We will be doing projects such as laying infrastructure at the “The Ranch”, digging drainage ditches (for the rainy season), preparing playing fields for the children, and/or doing property maintenance. In addition, trip participants will help with food delivery to the families surrounding the ranch, maintenance on the home of the family of one of our children, and developing relationships with the children. global(x) is North Point Ministries’ international division. We believe when people engage in service, it leads to life change. So we created global(x) trips, opportunities for people to serve together in various locations around the world. Our belief is that as people choose to serve, whether in one of our churches, in the local community, or around the world, the impact of that service will change lives—for those serving, for the people they serve, and even for those that see them choosing to give their time to help someone else. Please consider partnering with us for this trip by making a (tax-deductible) donation. If you are unable to partner with us financially, please partner with us through prayer for each of team members and the children at La Casa de mi Padre. We have 20 people going on the trip, 16 of which are teenagers. Please pray that we encounter Jesus in a way we haven’t before and that encounter causes our hearts to overflow with love, joy, and compassion. With Christ, Andy
