Before You Apply
- A $150 nonrefundable application fee is due at the time of application and will be applied to each person’s fundraising goal.
- Minors who will be under the age of 18 at the time of international travel must submit a notarized parental consent form approving travel for all parents/guardians who are not traveling with them.
About the Journey
Through our partnership with Hope Partners, this global(x) team will head to Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a Central American country that is a success story in terms of development. But, there are areas of the country where families live in extreme poverty and have little opportunity, especially in the city of Pavas.
We’re looking for an energetic team of adults and children who are ready to engage with local children and families. The team will be working in the community on school improvement projects, like painting classrooms, helping with much needed renovations, planting, cleaning, and organization. You’ll also have the opportunity to spend time with the school children and their teachers as you lead fun activities, including arts and crafts, sing-alongs, and interactive games. To wrap up the week, the team will visit La Paz Waterfalls and Rainforest or Punta Leona Beach to enjoy some well-deserved down time.
Seeing their struggles and sharing the love of Jesus with the Costa Rican people will be an eye-opening and humbling experience that you won’t soon forget. If you have a heart for children and are ready to bring some joy and fun to their week, this is the perfect opportunity!

Meeting #2 - Meet Our Partner HOPE and hear from Ashley Required
We are extremely excited to have Ashley Gonzalez come and speak to us about the work we will get to be part of while we are serving in Costa Rica! We are opening this meeting up to parents AND anyone who might be interested in learning about the Hope Center and GlobalX missions in Costa Rica! If you would like to invite someone, please just let me know, so we can accommodate for chairs and space.
During this meeting we will:
- Share information about partner
- Share ideas of what activities may happen
- Share what a typical week of service may look like
- Share about the country culture
- Check in on Fundraising! How are you doing? How can we help?
- Pray for our preparation, pray for those in Costa Rica now and praying for God to show us what we are to learn!
Please bring any questions, thoughts, ideas or challenges you might have and be ready to discuss!

- Tasks will be assigned if approved. Task completion is REQUIRED for travel.
- All adults will need to submit to a Background Check.
Restrictions
- Valid Passport - Expiration date must be 6 months after trip return date.
