Last night we had our first meeting with the student and parents at the Upstreet area in Gwinnett Church. it was nice to meet the students we will be spending so much time with for the next several months.

Prayer is a deeply personal thing, and seeing and talking to the people that we are praying for is a game changer. As we build relationships with you, our prayer should evolve and grow. As we all gain a stronger relationship with God, our prayer should grow and morph as well..less internal and more external and about what we can pray for in others.

Having said that, this early on, I think we should start with prayer. Let's be a little selfish and pray that we have the right mindset. Pray for focus and patience. Pray that God gives us the faith to trust that he wants us here and if we put in the work, he will make up the difference. If he can get us ALL the way to salvation, he can surely get us all the way to Mexico and back.

Lastly - We as leaders are not perfect, but we are all here because we have a heart and passion for students. We are invested in the success of this trip and the faith journey of everyone involved. I've seen God do some amazing things in the lives of his children (including mine), and I have faith that he will do it again. I ask you guys to read Ephesians 3:14-21. My favorite part is verse 18. At the end of the verse, it says "to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." AMEN! if we could grasp just a bit of that.

Love you!
