Goodbye for now, Costa Rica

A hard day saying goodbye in Costa Rica...

As we close our incredibly blessed week tonight way too quickly, we thank God for His amazing blessings. This entire experience introduced many of us to the country of Costa Rica and the people of the country too, for the first time.
We’d also like to thank our group leaders who have tirelessly led us for the past 6 months. Similarly, we have enjoyed connecting with each other and the teens have all had an amazing experience!

A couple of thoughts...

First, the days were long, very long but the week was very very short...

Second, as for our week’s service:
4 days, 2 centers, 37 volunteers, 152 children, and 1132 total volunteer hours. We would not have be able to do this without the precious children of Costa Rica. God is so huge and powerful - He planned all of this for each and every one of them, and us too. What else can He do?

Third, to me, one of the most poignant realizations is that fulfilled living requires intentional direction and day-to-day service. When we step out of our lives for a week, and join a mission like we did, that Jesus has commanded us all to serve others and that when you serve others selflessly, your heart is more accepting, more loving, more open and your life is more joyful. There is ALWAYS someone that needs help, be it in Costa Rica or Alpharetta, GA.
Let’s GO be the light of the world and help others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

In His love... Lynn 🇨🇷🙏🏻💗
