My whole life I believed in a God but I never had a strong relationship with Him or understood what it meant. This all changed in 9th grade on church retreat called Vertical Reality. I had been scared to give my life to Christ but I had also been scared to continue the life I had been living. That weekend we learned that God has a plan for our lives, and He loves us unconnditionally. That thought took up my whole mind and when I heard the lyric "I'm no longer a slave to fear" for the first time in worship, I understood everything and was saved. After that weekend, I publicly professed my faith and was baptized on November 20th, 2016. Ever since, my biggest desire has been to grow my relationship with God in any diferent ways. I believe that serving in His name in Costa Rica will be one of those ways, and I'm so excited! One of my favorite bible verses has always been Romans 8:31 - "What, then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" This summer, I want to show the people in Costa Rica that God is for them. Before I can do that, I need to raise $2,300. If you donated to my fund, I would be forever grateful!
