About the Journey

Our partner, Champions United, is the largest mentoring organization in Uganda, a country situated on the equator in Eastern Africa. In the past ten years, they’ve walked alongside over 17,000 children as they mentor Uganda's next generation of leaders.

We’re looking for a high-energy team that’s ready to actively engage with the Ugandan students at a local primary school, promote positive values, and help them develop valuable leadership skills. The team’s main focus is to plan and facilitate a two-day UpStreet-style "Kids Camp", but you may also play field day games with students and have an opportunity to help with their literacy program.

During the week, you’ll visit local families in their homes and serve alongside the Ugandan coaches. At night, you’ll be able to wind down around a fire pit and reflect on these rewarding days.

Sharing the love of Jesus as you connect with the Ugandan people works to build a spirit of leadership and compassion. Listening to and learning about their families, their culture, and their country will be an eye-opening experience, and one you won’t soon forget.
