2018 East Asia Special Needs Classroom 1
Team members will work with our partner to serve in a classroom environment for children (2–25 years old) who have disabilities and who are being cared for in an orphanage. These precious children develop their mental and physical motor skills through active games, crafts, and therapy by partnering with the teachers in the facility.
Team members will work together to create and implement a unique curriculum that will include innovative teaching and therapy ideas focused around a theme. The primary role of the team is to encourage the teachers and children by building relationships with our partners in East Asia.
We need a team of eight people willing to love, learn, and serve. You must be physically able to carry, run around, and play with children of all ages. You must be willing to step outside your comfort zone and to experience a new culture. Previous experience working with children who have special needs in the areas of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and special education is a plus but not required.
